The value of interest at a much younger age. It would have worked well for me until the last decade. What banks give in savings interest now is a laughable joke.
I'm retired and renting now so I just have memories of better economic times and it wasn't when most people think. Housing prices are out of sight now while mortgage rates are what I consider tolerable. I bought my first house when rates were 8% but housing was easily affordable to many and banks were paying 5.5-6% savings interest.
Financially these days are a disaster.
