Work advice insight

Hi!

I work remotely but still have to be in contact with one of my coworkers who isn’t necessarily the easiest person to work with. I have to be in contact with her because she is the only other person who does my same role on our team. Anywho she is great at what she does and knows her shit but she seems very passive aggressive or wanting to control the things on what o have picked up. She has never been disrespectful towards be but I have noticed when we talk over phone she os complaint mind you she is a whole lot older than me so I am thinking maybe she is just a moodly lady, I think she is like early 60ish which the same age my mom. Anywho aside from that I just overwhelmed with her and try and have as little contact with her as I can. Anywho this affects me because I just like peace ✌️.

Any advice for me and how yo be a good team player even when having yo work closely with her. My two managers are not the greatest either so i feel alone especially when I have questions. I like my work what I do but not really my managers or that one other person in the same role. I just started a few months ago and this is great company. I was thinking of switching departments once my year is up.

Any tips or advice or what you have done or would do in this situation? Maybe I am to sensitive I dunno

You need to put grandma in her place

@TheRascallyOne easier said than done! The managers like her from what I have heard and seen on our zoom meetings. Thanks though! I am just trying to be kind and do my work is all but it’s hard when o have to go to her for some work since my managers don’t do shit. Maybe that’s why she is angry to because she is doing our managers job of teaching me.

Have a 1 to 1with her,and most her know her position, whilst saying how important her role is to you,so she gets put in her place, but still feels she can contribute
