How long should you go without talking after an argument? [I Need Advice]

Iv been with this man for 4 months, we had a disagreement about something so silly, and he kept his mood as if he was bothered. So I went to sleep and he didn’t talk to me and even when I got up for work.. Not even a get there safe or an I love you... nothing .. I feel hurt because it’s a new relationship and I don’t know why he was so annoyed or bothered by me by a small disagreement about a waste basket .. mind you we live with each other .. all I wanted was him to just come to me and hug me and I just left to work so hurt and bothered.
