Who would you rather be your president: Putin or Trump?

Both are undesirable, both crazy, but at least Putin has experience and isn't nearly as batshit crazy (still crazy though) as Trump. Putin to me would be the equivalent of having... IDK... I can't think of a Republican candidate I don't hate so much that I'd rather them than Putin. So uh. Bill Clinton I suppose. Still though, if Bernie doesn't win, I'm doing my schooling in Russia (might as well, for the foreign language) and then moving to Denmark/Sweden/Switzerland. x'D

Putin is crazy? Based on what? Personally I think he is far more mature and a more responsible and loyal leader the 99% of all western leaders and the narcissist looking to take over from them. Sanders is the only one running in the US who would not be a complete disaster.

Violent? No real evidence of that. And what is it with people blaming an entire nation and it's government on him being some cartoon evil person? Do you even know the story behind that "anti LGBT" claim? Are you referring to the so called anti gay propaganda law that was passed? Because 99% of what you hear about that was actually sourced from a Canadian travel blog and is wrong. Interestingly enough the UK had a nearly identical law till about 2008 but nobody calls the Brits anti LGBT. Or in the US if you are in some states you can kill a gay person and almost be certain to get away with it if you claim "gay panic" defense as demonstrated by the Mathew Shepard case. People in glass houses and all that...

I blame American censorship of information.

That is part of the problem. Control of the narrative. But it is also about demonizing a nation that chooses to be independent and does not kneel before the POTUS. If all those pompous windbags in Washington, Brussels or Ottawa really cared they would get their own house in order first instead of doing one thing and criticizing others like the hypocrites they are. The problem is most people in the west just assume that "bad things don't happen here" so they assume they have the moral high ground. Also the Orthodox Church has massive amounts of power in Russia and makes some of the US southern right wing look liberal. Russia also practices some forms of direct democracy which allows them to wield vast amounts of influence in government. For example in Russia if petitions are submitted that fit certain criteria are submitted to the government on a proposed new piece of legislation the Duma is required by law to present the bill. So powerful groups can literally introduce laws directly into the legislature. So all of this to say it is all much more complicated then "west good. Putin bad."

I would gladly trade 2 Obamas for 1 Putin, but Donald Trump is very good for America.

Putin is a strong leader who is taking good care of Russia. Trump is smart and a strong leader who will help America a lot.

One would have to be anti-American or batshit crazy not to be supporting Trump.

You're trolling, right?
Earthbob
I'm right, troll.

Please kill yourself.

Putin has people killed for openly disagreeing with him.
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Oh I hear the truth about him. I'm intentionally being hyperbolistic out of satire because Trump's batshit crazy and doesn't give a shit about human rights, it seems.
puck61
He doesn't give a shit about namby pamby political correctness. It's time to stow the moral relativism and realize that there are good and bad people on this planet. We have to quit making excuses for evil sonsabitches ..some cultures need to be isolated from other cultures.
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
*facepalm*
It's not about political correctness. I use terms like "retard" and "autistic" as insults all the time. It's the fact that he is harmful and is crazy. Trump should be nowhere near politics.
SolarCell
Putin is a dictator. If you like Fascist dictators, then he is your guy. I do not trust experienced politicians. They are more for their own power than the people they "serve"
TheWolfOfRussia
Putin by a long run, mainly cause I always liked him and I'm also from Russia
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Putin's pretty cool. It's just that I don't know too much about him but I know he sides with Trump and is more conservative. I mean Russia is anti-LGBT, aren't they?
TheWolfOfRussia
Yeah. The only thing that I don't agree with Putin on is trump
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Can you enlighten me on Putin's policies?
Genflucker1
Trump, but you the Communist should move to Russia, they would love you there.
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Russia has never been communist.
Genflucker1
LOL,
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Russia was socialist during the USSR. They took on some Marxist ideas, but they weren't a true communist state. Russia now follows a more capitalistic model. Before Lenin, they were Tsarist. Lenin implemented socialism as a step towards communism, but they never achieved a true communistic state.
LucyLutz
Putin is a hoodlum and former KGB Assassin....Trump is a ego-maniac. Either guy is too dangerous.
TetrisGuy · 26-30, M
Exactly why I'm saying both are pretty damn crazy, but you have to pick the lesser of evils here xD
mentalytwisted
trump will be the new prez
Redredred
Trump but only by a small margin

Yeah x.x Putin also is pro-Science. I think he's anti-LGBT though but he's handling ISIS well. US is too far away from Saudi for us to really consider doing too much there. We should provide assistance to refugees, while they provide assistance to defeating ISIS.
