Just a PSA, I hope you know that chocolate and anything chocolate flavored is fatal to dogs.

Spawned from that oreo question. I don't think the owner did it intentionally, and to some it's not immediately obvious, but some forget the fact that if it's chocolate flavored, it contains cacao compounds, which will contain the theobromine that's fatal to many pets. Dogs can't metabolize theobromine, nor can cats. The problem is that unless you get specific "dog-safe chocolate" (which they destroy the compound theobromine in), you can't feed them anything chocolate flavored, unless you want them to die. This applies to cats, too. But cats can't taste sweet things, so it's much harder for them to get chocolate poisoning. Dogs love sweet flavors, but they don't know if something's bad for them or not. So please, don't feed your pets chocolate or anything chocolate flavored. You're just putting them on death row. It doesn't immediately kill them, but it will drastically, and I mean drastically shorten their life span.

Someone tried to say that grape flavored ice cream is illegal because dogs die from it since grapes are toxic to dogs, but chocolate ice cream is the most popular and dogs can die from that too.

I had a beach dog for a while when I was a child. Some asshole rancher shot him in the thigh and I found him lying wounded on the beach, so I dug out the bullet with a spatula and he became my dog. I also had a Brazilian mastiff for a while, and right now I've got a bloodhound. Never have I fed them fruits. I do usually feed them salmon scraps of pieces of steak.

I do like those grape "Bottle Caps" candies. The sour fizzy grape candies are good. But I hate grape skittles and jolly ranchers. They're nasty xD

Seriously, yesterday my buddy Gabe and I were hanging out and his dad is the kind of dude who has nothing to spend his money on but cat food and wine, so he wanted Gabe to get out of the house and randomly gave us $80 to spend. So we bought a shitload of candy and a couple Jarrirtos sodas and some lighter fluid and drank the Jarritos and then used the bottles to make Molotov cocktails. Among the candy we bought included a monster size 12 bar Kit Kat, a whole box of Bottle Caps, and some Bunch-a-Crunch chocolates.

Usually it's way too expensive, but I don't have that problem. Every now and then, if you're lucky, they'll give you these little cards you can use for either half price candy or free drinks. I got a few of them, and then figured out how to forge them ;)

Grape ice cream without crushed grape seeds would be okay in most cases
and milk chocolate wouldn't be too harmful if it was just a small taste... in most cases

the biggest issue is spoiling your dog's taste buds so he craves that stuff, and sugar and his teeth.

mind you i knew someone who fed their cat ice cream once a month, half a bowl they couldnt finish, it was for their cat. Mind you it was odd the cat got blood sugar problems a decade later.

I only give my cat a spoonful of it every once in a while. Half a bowl? WTF? Cats can't even taste sweet. My cat loves dairy products in general. I typically give him a little piece of cheese or a little bit of yogurt or ice cream every once in a while.

There was an website called EM TOAST that had a ficticious joke column about the FDA banning Grape Ice Cream in 1982, and this was a rumour that came up about 1-2 months ago actually.

Grapes itself are poisonous to dogs. Chocolate contains theobromine, which is poisonous to dogs, because they can't metabolize it and it builds up in their liver, eventually killing them. Far as grape ice cream, it's a disgusting idea nevertheless. Unless it was made into a sorbet. Then it'd be good.
