Why do people call people that don't think like them wackos? I don't do that. It is hard to understand why someone thinks differently when you do that.

That was more Orwell than Rand. Rand was antisocialist as well as antigovernment. Orwell was the one that mainly wrote about totalitarianism without any particular bias to left or right.

If you really look at both of them you can see that there is some overlap in their gripes, it is their conclusion that is different.

Well yes--both complain about totalitarianism. But Ayn Rand often complains about socialism too which is why I hate her.

From what I've seen, EP tends to be fourth and first quadrant for the most part. EP liberals are generally more centrist than anything. I don't see many left winged people here. Third quadrant is more represented than first quadrant though. Third quadrant is the only thing that works--although too much anarchy could lead to chaos.
