OK If you have small children under 5 yrs old; how did you answer the question how are babies are made?

Awesome Question....... I actually took on this question for the first time with my son when he was 5 years old. Being a parent that believes if they are asking you better be telling (info given age appropriate) -so I went to the local library and got a preschool video on the subject and watched it with my son and my ten year old niece, being careful to answer any questions they had along the way and after the video.

i got a toddlers story book encyclopedia on that which includes the birth process with illustrations...and i let her see and hear her own heartbeat and birth video.

i asked my mom where i came from when i was little and she said i was the cutest one in the window and i believed that for years

Born from the love a mommy and daddy share with one another. At that age i don't think they really need to know any more than that..

I would tell them the truth but ask them NOT to copy the action before they were 16....and with protection....because babies need love and cost money.

The daddy plants a seed in the mommy's tummy and it grows into a baby.
