Look at this way, guns represent power. To create a balance in people and government power, guns have to be supplied to both. Its for the chance that a dictatorship or corruption occurs in the government the people have a chance to reclaim it and also protect them selves from criminals. In England Neither the cops nor civilians have guns and that was to create a balance of power, but its starting to back fire because there are roaming hood rat gangs and moral decline on the streets because any group of kids could pick of knives and be a very real danger to the public and police, with the power the hold with simple knives , bats and fist. they are still able to push drugs and be oraganised criminals.

People elect the government and that delegates power. In England if you carry a knife and are arrested you will go to jail. Of course there are armed Police Officers in England. You might need to do some research.

There are plenty of armed Police on the streets of most major cities in England as we speak. I don't know where you get your info from. Do your police shoot rioters and looters in America?...that would be a bit harsh as they are not a life threatening group of people, are they?

Do you live in england? While police stations have guns for there swat officers, Police on the streets are armed with tazers and batons And yes when a riot goes on for 2 weeks, and the people are killing and raping we call in the national guard.

ARVs are on the road at all times. That is the whole point of having them. In England we prefer to have a select few highly trained shooters than a whole nation full of armed cops. American deaths from cop shooting stats constantly proves to us why this is the best way for the Police to use guns.

Way to stick true to your opinion, but anyways that video of the police vs the cops is my point that the balance of power between cops a civilian is a very slim line sence cops are not issued guns. Because the police in that video did not have guns they were put into a extremely dangerous situation. Now i admit, police in america use there guns way to often and police training needs to be reformed, but my point still stands that americans have guns because our country was founded by civilian use of fire arms, it is far to late to change that and it would actually be more destructive to make it illegal. They are simply have become a necessary especially for honest people who live in poor naborhoods or live in the country where you live 15 - 20 mins from a hospital or police station.

There are armed police all over Lonson, they are in vehicles ready to respond at any time. In America there are over 10000 deaths per year caused by guns alone. In the UK that is not acceptable. I never said I want all guns in America made illegal. There is no need for any American to own more than 1 handgun and lets say 20 rounds of ammo. Now look at the facts in America-some people own semi-auto and automatic assault rifles along with thousands of rounds of ammo legally. How can that be ok? An ARV is an Armed Response Vehicle, an ordinary police car with a lockable gun box in the boot. You have no idea about England and the English Police.

A shot gun is a cannon. A .45 pistol can blow chunks out of people. So you are a hunter? How exactly is any gun supposed to be safe. A .22 will kill people just as well as a .45......guns are not safe but America has over 300 million in circulation. Yes i made a mistake about a ARV, i made the asumtion it was somthing else. But any ways i said SAFEST. You said you want people to have hand guns i want people to have a gun that works for the situation they have, lissen to what im righting, dont be a half wit.
