riots are not good; they add to the unrest and violence and rage already out there over Brown's death; they are more injustices in the mix. Justice may come, but rioting in the meantime is a crime that should be fully prosecuted.

Agreed, crimes need to be punished. I think the local police should take a lot of responsibility though for inflammatory comments.

the problem with any case, including this one, is that people are ready to kill each other right off the bat, before any evidence is revealed, before any investigation can be completed, and justice can prevail. The police shouldn't be making any statements early on in an investigation, or they can jeopardize the whole outcome or cause unrest and tension against them by the citizens that they took an oath to serve and protect. The family has a right to demand justice, but justice may take time. I don't think it's in anyone's best interest to rush ahead and make rash comments or rash decisions.

I agree. I don't think the Police should have publicised the cctv of the shop, and I think they need to explain why the guy was shot 6 times as well.

its not necessary for the police to reveal anything, at least not when its still unclear what happened. from what I can see from the headlines, it appears that Brown might have been surrendering when he was shot. Now that could be speculation, I do not know. I do know that one good shot should have been enough, and that he could have been merely disabled and shot down so that officers could rush in and quickly contain him. I am not sure if Brown too had a gun and engaged cops with it. But I am sure those details will be revealed and then dragged on and talked about endlessly for months on end.

The officer who shot Brown was assaulted by Brown before Brown was shot. That is clear. The officer had injuries. This teen might have bee high on something and not clear headed but that tells me that it was a justified shooting. He wasn't shot 6 times... there were reentry wounds ... the shot went through the top of his head somewhere because the teen was charging the police officer after having run away after he had assaulted the officer and tried to wrestle the gun away. From the top of the head, the bullet went through the clavicle, and then went through the chest area, and then through the arm. People are still not understanding that the teen was not shot multiple times with multiple bullets... he just had multiple wounds from one or two... and that was because the teen kept coming even after the shots were fired.....
