Michael Brown riots-good or bad?

deepscar
riots are not good; they add to the unrest and violence and rage already out there over Brown's death; they are more injustices in the mix. Justice may come, but rioting in the meantime is a crime that should be fully prosecuted.

I agree. I don't think the Police should have publicised the cctv of the shop, and I think they need to explain why the guy was shot 6 times as well.

its not necessary for the police to reveal anything, at least not when its still unclear what happened. from what I can see from the headlines, it appears that Brown might have been surrendering when he was shot. Now that could be speculation, I do not know. I do know that one good shot should have been enough, and that he could have been merely disabled and shot down so that officers could rush in and quickly contain him. I am not sure if Brown too had a gun and engaged cops with it. But I am sure those details will be revealed and then dragged on and talked about endlessly for months on end.

The officer who shot Brown was assaulted by Brown before Brown was shot. That is clear. The officer had injuries. This teen might have bee high on something and not clear headed but that tells me that it was a justified shooting. He wasn't shot 6 times... there were reentry wounds ... the shot went through the top of his head somewhere because the teen was charging the police officer after having run away after he had assaulted the officer and tried to wrestle the gun away. From the top of the head, the bullet went through the clavicle, and then went through the chest area, and then through the arm. People are still not understanding that the teen was not shot multiple times with multiple bullets... he just had multiple wounds from one or two... and that was because the teen kept coming even after the shots were fired.....

An impulsive, knee-jerk response to a simmering issue that was exploded by a shooting case that not one person rioting knew all the facts about. It is a place that could have really used a Martin-Luther-King-Jr. I am embarrassed for them......

There is a dude calling himself hardnutjr on here that thinks the Missouri kid Mike Brown needed killing and so do the protestors. That dude needs to be set straight.

He is a pro gun advocate. God forbid people like him ever get to make decisions on justice.

I do not know.

Disappointing! We are America with a Justice System and a right to protest. Those that are stealing, looting, burning and creating chaos...shame on them... huge embarrassment to America.

Protest and go home. No need to be out on 'da streets'. It's not going to change anything and you are asking for more trouble.

Maybe that's the point?....I mean people thinking it's not to change anything so why not riot?
