I don't honestly get why people care if Obama is a Muslim or not.

Does it actually matter? We don't have a official religion or language anyway.

Yes we do. America was founded on Christianity with English speaking settlers.

No we don't it. This is a land of immigrants.
MewmentOfCatitude
That's actually not true and our forefathers strictly stated that religion should -never- be any deciding factor in elections, nor should it be used in any reference to leading the country or creating laws.
Wyldon
uh...alexander Hamilton, john adams, Benjamin franklin, Thomas paine, and Thomas Jefferson, arguably some of the greatest, if not the greatest of the founding fathers, would disagree with you. fortunately for us, they left us their words on the matter of Christianity.
Stereoguy
And every one of them read the bible and went to church.
chaosarchangel · 22-25, F
That history lesson though : )
Stereoguy
I am very aware of them and not the liberal rewriting of the history books. So don't try pawing off your cr@p on me. You are right about every nation sending people over, but not in the beginning. In the beginning it was Christians and not going to church on Sunday was crime punishable by the law. Read the real history books and pull your head out of your a$$.
Wyldon
and EVERYONE of them, after reading the bible, left history with a scathing rebuke of the bible and Christianity.
Stereoguy
Bull $hit!
Wyldon
and, if you don't mind me adding to your lesson, g'67, the constitutional convention heard a hotly contested debate regarding the inclusion of god within the constitution. if you're familiar with the preamble to the constitution and the constitution, you'll not there's no mention of god. wonder who won that part of the debate? their reasons why are also etched in their very clear writings on the matter. I thought Jefferson's rebukes were the worst, until I read paine's evisceration. great history...and men.
MewmentOfCatitude
You need an intense refresher of history, friend. While you're at it, why don't you go read every legal document that lead to the CREATION of America. You'll find a LOT in relation to keeping religion out of politics.

Deal with it and stop making up bullshit to compensate for your inability to accept others due to your moronic bigotry, Wyldon.
Stereoguy
There was a definite movement to separate religion from politics. If you look back at history you will understand why. I never disagreed with that, but don't even try babbling that every person who signed the constitution were not Christians and that the original settlers were not Christians because that would be a lie and you know it. You just don't want to admit it.
Stereoguy
It is obvious you hate religion. What amazes me is how you quote history when it is convenient and make up lies when you can't quote history to your favor.
Stereoguy
Where do you come up with this cr@p? The nonsense that rolls off your keyboard is amazing! Sadly you are probably a school teacher poisoning kids minds. You are a disgrace to America!
kbbaldwin
Didn't pay much attention in history classes, did you.
kbbaldwin
Leave Stereoguy alone. He is using his own facts, which I assume he pulled out of his *ss to argue.
