Finally! Someone else sees it. Have you noticed that there are lots of ads this year on television that are designed to make Santa look stupid? I'm sorta bummed. Madison Avenue is now making Santa look as stupid as they make all males look. Santa was supposed to be off limits to ridicule.

Seriously!!! He's one of the major icons for good will and good deeds!!! Why are the corporations being so out right mean towards him this year??? It's upsetting to say the least :-/

And I'm concerned about what the kids that still believe in Santa make of it all. What's next, Madison Avenue making a commercial for Century 21, showing Jesus up on the cross saying, "Wow, look at the view from up here!"

I'm really glad that someone started this thread. I was saying to my son last night while we were watching TV: What's the deal with all of the one-upping Santa in all of these ads? It was slightly funny the first time I saw it, but now I'm hating them all. Especially, during family-watching time 6-9pm on major networks -- I wouldn't want little kids to see Santa Claus beat up like this.

It doesn't really seem to be in the holiday spirit to treat anyone like the way the people in the ad are treating "santa." it's just very in your face.
