What is your opinion of the saying, "no shoes, no shirt, no service."?

Is it fair for a business to turn away someone just because they are barefoot? What if the business is located in a beach resort? Do you think barefeet are worse than someone wearing shoes into a business?‎

I see your point however it's a standard resturants have to all make to survive in business. Balance business most important, that you always pick your balance to be a reasonable human being , you know ? So the health dept and just cleanliness and hygenic around food.

I agree with that policy. It doesn't matter where the establishment is there are rules that have to be followed. If you're not happy with the rules; then, you are under no obligation to go in there.

its unclean for a business,,especially if they have any type of food. most places have a code to follow or they could be reported and shut down

I understand the no shoes part - Imagine broken glass on the floor, and the lawsuit that would follow.

Its a health thing... back in the 70's lots of people went bare foot and lots of guys went without shirts.

Some premises have a dress code. I can respect that. There's always somewhere else to go?

Seems fair to me. Show respect to the establishment.

If that's what it says on the door, then you have a choice, get dressed or go eat somewhere else !

It is a health department rule. Feet tend to pick up everything - like where others have spit.

So would shoes then !
tonyt53
Ah, but not between the toes

I think it's fair.

What's not fair is that I don't have to wear pants, it's just a shirt. DISCRIMINATION!

it doesn't even rhyme

that's fair, some people need to learn to put on clothes in public it's gross
oceansidesnowfal
I think it's rather silly.
