Can someone please explain the birds and the bees to me? Does anyone still use this analogy?

birds and bees help fertilize flowers by carrying flower pollen from one flower to another. then flowers make seeds and seeds grow more plants :)

I've always found those to be weird metaphors, since birds and bees reproduce in ways that are quite a bit different from human beings.

Birds congregate around statues.
Bees congregate around flowers.
They congregate together around a statue of a flower.
Birds and bees don't play well together.

I don't have kids, but i have a younger sister.
