Would you give away something that you value a lot in the blink of an eye, because someone else needs it more than you?

A dog is a living being. Not a thing. I meant something like a sweater that belonged to your grandmother.
I wouldn't give my dogs away either. I'd find the person some other dog instead. :)

Well it was a vague question, but in that case, yea, I'd give something material away.
