Why do so many girls like the color pink?

When I was a kid, the girls liked it because they all liked the Pink Power Ranger. And today's kids' shows are also filled with female characters in pink. Does that mean girls are brainwashed at such a young age?

That's because society & TV/media fix gender roles on colors .... I remember years ago when the lebron sneakers (grey & purple) came out, I really liked them so I got em, & I'm a big fan of thermal long sleeve especially for the winter, so I decided to get the deep purple color thermal to go with the sneakers & some really dark Levis... It was really on point, but I remember my niece saying, "oohhh uncle what are you doing, purple is for girls" lol .. & she was like 4 or 5 at the time ;)
