Is there some way to start a petition or something that would make EP hire better moderators?
You know, the kind that would actually care about what goes on here?

Yes. You could start a group and then encourage people to join. I think there's some sort of suggestion group already out there...something about "I want to improve the Experience Project". Maybe something on the EP contact page. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Maybe if we were all paying members and staged a walkout, then EP admin would feel motivated to do something. But I imagine that this site is quite profitable as is, and I can't imagine that they care a whole lot about keeping a constant or vigilant eye on content. And there are huge numbers of members who do NOT want content to be monitored or restricted in any way. If EP were interested in that, then I think we would have seen it all along.

I remember a time when they cared... I really want those days to come back.

The site was a bit different when I joined...absolutely. But it seems that things were just allowed to slip away. It's very hard to get that kind of thing back, once it's been "let go" or compromised. And I don't see a real effort to get back....even the ads are different now.
