How does a male frog and a female frog ;-) have babies?

Spring or early summer. Rain comes. Frogs sing to attract a mate. Male frog gets onto the female's back and holds on. This is one reason why male frogs tend to be smaller than females. Then she lays eggs in a long string...looks like black beads usually. I'm not sure whether he fertilizes the eggs before or while they are being laid. Anyway, the eggs are laid in water. After a while, tadpoles hatch out.
At least that's the way it happened every year in my parents' goldfish pond.

The normal way to have babies is to get married, buy a house and get properly settled in, furniture and so on, and then ... wait for a bit, make sure you eat properly, three hot meals a day, and they just sort of turn up!
