No, I don't think they do. When my youngest sister used to smoke, she never understood why I'd have to send clothes she borrowed to the cleaners to get the smoke smell out, or that the "hair freshener" spray she swore by never really worked.

Some do, but I believe many of them don’t. They are so used to it that they’ve become oblivious of how atrocious it really is. I know several smokers who bathe themselves in body spray trying to “kill” the odor.

Not always. I grew up with smokers and smoked for a long time and it wasn't until after I stopped I realized how bad it smelled.

I've smelled some nasty non-smokers too but it was obviously for different reasons. LOL. Smokers (especially the over forty crowd) remember the “good old days” when they could freely smoke practically ANYWHERE and they didn't worry about anyone complaining. Even those who didn’t smoke were expected to allow their guests to smoke when entertaining in their homes. Otherwise they would be rude hosts. Those days are gone.
