Why isn't Armen interested in keeping EP going, since his Kanjoya is built on data-mining of EP? Any insights?

Kanjoya has moved on to bigger things like data first approach in IT HR which is like a billion dollar idea.

EP was used for their employee response training algorithm and its done and is no longer profitable...so the assholes will shut it down.

Has to be operating costs. The other option I've considered is that this shut down is just to determine user response to a site they're involved with closing down.
As they aren't seeing any real advertising revenue, and their other revenue streams must bring in next to nothing, I'm not sure they care much about losing visitors so it might be useful info for them to sell.

I don't know about that. Their total funding was right around $13M and their last round was a few years ago. That's definitely not enough to maintain a site that's a money sieve. Costs a lot to host and operate a site of this size.

I think they are afraid of a possible civil suit over the "EP murder,also this site is so far gone and out of control its pathetic!

EP is kind of what you make of it. I have found that blocking and deleting is pretty effective for getting rid of nasty people harassing you. There have always been real stinking sewers on EP, but there were always good people and good places to occupy yourself with.
