2 less Muslim terrorists; glad they didn't get to take anybody with them this time

PicturesOfABetterLife
Typical. Brand them terrorists and attach religion to it with no evidence whatsoever. Has it occurred to you that some people might just be pissed that people like you seem to think their religion and culture is to be pissed on and are expected to just sit back and take it?

Call me crazy but I actually think waiting until a proper police investigation is completed before passing judgement and making assumptions as opposed to jumping to conclusions based on the latest sound bite on Fox. I am not condoning anything I am saying that one group of raving loons egging on another group of raving loons at both extremes is dangerous and stupid and yet somehow only one side has their entire religion and culture blamed for it. A white christian guy executes a bunch of Muslims and we are supposed to believe it is over a parking dispute. Or a guy like Anders Brevik who admires Pam Geller which should tell you something are just "crazy". Nobody bothers reporting their beliefs or their ethnic background. But if they are muslim and especially Arab not only is that front page news but it is made out to be the entire cause and reason for why they are violent. And FYI by the FBIs own stats more white right wing christian groups commit acts of terror in the US then any other group. But don't let facts get in the way of your witch hunt.

See my response above.
"by the FBIs own stats more by the FBIs own stats more white right wing christian groups commit acts of terror in the US then any other group."
What BS. Where did you hear that "sound bite"? Name me the contemporary acts of terror in the US that are by "white right wing christian groups". It is a fact that since Obama took office we have seldom gone more than two weeks without the government announcing the latest foiling of a Muslim terror plot in the US. The FBI recently announced it has active ISIS-related investigations going on in 49 states. And we have had perpetrated Muslim terrorist attacks in Fort Hood, Little Rock, Oklahoma City (beheading), Boston, and now Garland, Texas.
You want hide your head in the sand from the fact that since the 1990s, the phenomenon of terrorism around the world has been perpetrated almost entirely by Muslims. And it's because there is a large ideological and material infrastructure of support for terrorism within Islam that has no parallel in any other religion or, since the decline of Communism, even in any other ideology.
"A white christian guy executes"
Stop lying. You know darn well the ill-natured North Carolina guy was an atheist, not a Christian.
And making a moral equivalence between Muslims who believe in murdering infidels and the peaceful critics of Islam who call them out is outrageous.

The 1st Amendment grants us the right to express our thoughts and beliefs. Sadly contained nowhere within that amendment is the stipulation for class and respect. When you take a sacred tenet of another religion and not only disregard but mock it for no other reason than entertainment, you risk much.
Do you think the Constitution should compel respect? Would that increase of constrict freedom? Not everybody is in the slightest bit deserving of respect--and that certainly includes people who want to kill other people over cartoons!

"When you take a sacred tenet of another religion and not only disregard but mock it for no other reason than entertainment, you risk much." That is actually only true in regard to ONE religion.

I am appalled that you have greater disapproval of Pam Geller's event than of the attempted mass murder.
OConnor13
No, I don't think respect can ever be compelled. Tact, dignity and respect should be utilized more often though. And what I said is not try of only one religion. Do you think if other people drew cartoons of Jesus with a boyfriend (as he was never married) or aborted fetuses with funny punch lines or Mary Magdalene as Christ's nagging, sex-starved wife that certain factions of religious fundamentalists wouldn't take up arms? They kill doctors simply for performing abortions.

Don't get me wrong, NOTHING condones mortal violence against people. I'm saying that when you poke a bear, you risk a bite.
You're wrong. There have been as I recall three abortionists killed in the decades in which they have slaughtered millions of US prenatal children. They were not killed by "They" or by "certain factors" but by individuals acting alone. Do not imagine any effort was spared to try to find additional connections. And those incidents were quite some time ago.

Nobody was killed for the numerous Christian-mocking arts of work such as Piss Christ. Martin Scorcese made a movie blasphemous against Jesus, but he didn't have to go into hiding like Salman Rushdie.

I am really irritated by this! If the Muslims don't like us making fun of them then perhaps they should go back to their own backwards, war torn countries and stay there! I don't think making fun of any religion, or person is right. I don't have a problem w peaceful, non terrorist Muslims. People are entitled to believe what they want, as long as they don't kill in the name of it!!! Christians, Muslims, any religion!
indecisive20
I thought it was disrespectful for that hate group to joke on their religion.
They was just defending it and got killed for it
"They was just defending it"
So you are condoning the terrorist attack in Texas?
indecisive20
I'm saying we shouldn't be joking on their religion.
It's like would you respond in defense if somebody else held a convention and joke on your religion?
Make cartoon tournaments and games joking your religion
And if you don't have a religion, what about somebody that you love? Wont you defend and protect it too?
Why are you protecting the hate group?
"It's like would you respond in defense if somebody else held a convention and joke on your religion?"
People do that against my religion all the time. Neither I nor my fellows respond with any attempts to perpetrate harm upon them.
"Why are you protecting the hate group?"
You need better information sources than the ones who told you the organizers of the contest were a "hate group." It would be more appropriate to label Islam a hate group than to label in that fashion people who properly hold it to account for its egregious wrongs and its attempts to usurp authority over non-adherent cultures by dictating to them what things they may not do within their own borders.
