Well you see I want to go in the welding field but I don't know what to do. I have no experience but I've been told that's a good thing There's a welding school I want to go to called Tulsa that cost around 20 grand but I'm flat broke and I'll probably have to get a loan. My concern is getting the loan and I'll have to move away from family. I just want some advice on what I should do....

Trade schools at your age is the best place to learn. Most companies don't require a state certification to get employed as a welder. It's normally tested in house to see if you can weld and then your employer vouches for your ability to weld.
Do you have metal shop at your school? Thats a great start. Then a trade school. Two years of that will have you ready to weld structural.

Nope I do not have a metal shop at my school. I wish.
What about the loan do you suggest I get one.? How long do you think it would take to pay off.?

I really wouldn't know how that works. Sorry. I learned to weld on the job and before that I was a quality control in a weld shop. So I never went to school or got any loans. I believe student loans are handled right through the school itself. You should probably inquire with Tulsa about student loans. Wish I could be more help. Welding is a good field. Lot's of opportunities.
