For those who would like this life style I'm fine with it, but not imposed on all. Conversely... a male husband and a female wife should not be imposed on all either. My issue is a husband or a wife being dominate over the other.

What about a partnership where both partners are equal. They discuss with each other and come to agreement. They use their talents and work together for their common goals. They love and support each other in good times and bad because they are your best friend. Love, not dominance, is the glue that binds them together.

My point is that women should be seen as equals to their male counterparts. Femininity or masculinity should not be seen as a weakness but a strength in either partner. So do we even need the titles of husband and wife?

Lovely. This is the kinda response I expected. Probably you may also agree that only when a change is proposed we question the root and ask how did it come up in the first place ?

Also the reason many think of doing away with the marriage system itself that creates such a relationship.

I agree that we should always question, any institution, label or tradition, and renew as needed for the changing times. I want to know why I should before I do or follow any institution or tradition. I will not follow someone or something blindly.

I see marriage as love between two people, a deep friendship, a life time commitment, who wish to live their lives together. That commitment, in creation, should remain flexible between them for their own beliefs. It should also be reviewed and updated regularly to renew their commitment, love, to each other. So marriage to me has much value and takes commitment and love to a whole other level.

I will add that gender should not label someone to certain labels or stereo-types. It's our talents and who we wish to present as that should be rewarded and encouraged.
