Why do so many people on here use the default profile photos?

You can choose your own path in life, it doesn't need to be offered to you. You are unique, don't just follow the crowd. Be your OWN person, upload your OWN profile picture.

This is an anonymous site. If you want YOUR picture out there for your neighbours, employers, etc., to google attached to very personal unburdenings here, that's YOUR business. This isn't Facebook, and that's not what this site was originally about. Why don't people GET that ?

Whoa I wasn't that serious... And uploading your own photos doesn't necessarily mean photos of YOU. My profile pic is of Dean Winchester but I am most certainly not him

Sorry. A LOT of people ask the question and accuse posters of "hiding", "being cowardly", etc, because they use this site as a refuge and are more focused on what they post, needing to get really traumatic stuff off their chests, for example, than the avatar they use.
