When you're being interviewed for a job, how do you answer the question "Tell me about yourself"?

Do you talk about anything personal or non-work-related, or do you only talk about your work experience and how it relates to the job that you're interviewing for?I have a job interview tomorrow, and that's always one of the most challenging questions for me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question, after your bedtime. Your ideas were very helpful, and I'm sure that they will be very helpful to me in future interviews also. When I was trying to choose the best answer, it was almost a toss-up between your answer and iCuriousBabe's answer. But you did go into a little more detail in your private message.
