Not particularly. They haven't done anything really significant since "The Wall," it really good since "Dark Side of the Moon," or really original since Sid left.

Yep they have been done for a long time, we're lucky to have what we got. And the solo stuff will still continue.

I hope so. Sometimes the solo stuff that comes out after a band breaks up can be pretty great too. Take the Beatles, for example. So maybe it can be a new beginning, of sorts.

Wow. Never had you pegged as a Floyd fan! Yes it is kind of sad. All things must pass.

I'm not really sure. I'll have to read a little more about it to get the full story. I do know that Roger Waters and David Gilmour never got along very well, and Richard Wright died in 2008. So the band had been falling apart for some time. But I'm not sure what the final straw was that broke the camel's back. I guess David Gilmour said, in an interview with Classic Rock Magazine, that the band had run its course and that it would be "fakery" to try to do it again. That's not really much of an explanation, but apparently that's what he said.

I suppose we knew that it was all but over for them, since they hadn't done much in a while, but I thought that the finality of it was a little sad.

I can still listen to their albums and watch their videos. So its not really a big deal.
