Why do some cheaters deny it to the end?
why is it that when a man or a woman cheats, even with all the evidence piled against them, they still deny it?

They cannot reconcile the reality of their behavior with the self-image they have of themselves in their mind that is completely contrary to that behavior.

makes a lot of sense. Their reality and their self-image don't match up so denial is the only way to make sense.

Exactly. Acknowledging that they cheated damages their self-image so much they can't tolerate it at all...it cuts to the core of who they are.

Sorry to hear that your hubby cheated on you....well, life's not perfect. Don't blame yourself, and forgive him (don't forget)...hating him and his actions will not help you move forward, but learning from them will.
