Whats the best external hard drive to get?
I'm looking for a harddrive but get sooo confused as to what brand to get

personally I don't like ext hard drives, but I don't really need the portability aspect. NAS is a much more reliable option.

Network attached storage. think Hard drive with an Ethernet port. that way it's accessible from anywhere on your home network

no more than your computer is. NAS devices don't communicate on the internet, so the virus would have to come in on a device that does.

I like it as a backup location as well as just centralized storage. All depends on your needs.
