Think too much and you act selflessly, your careful sugarcoated language might make others feel great in the moment, but it’s fake and in hindsight you hurt yourself.
Both extremes are bad and not true to who you are. In order to be authentic, you need to balance the two. Sincerity is achieved when once again, you think just enough to mean what you say and no more or less than that.
