An update on my recent post - thank you!

I made a post recently regarding my struggle returning to work full time due to debt and not being able to be with my little one. I was overwhelmed with supportive and kind comments and messages which really gave me the boost I needed.

Just wanted to give you all an update - I’m starting to feel a bit better and can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Although I’m desperately missing my son when I’m at work (which I’m sure is normal), I know he is the reason I’m doing this which helps to ease the guilt. Just wanted to say thank you all again, knowing people cared saved my life and I no longer feel so lonely. The dark place I was in got a whole lot lighter just thanks to you kind people! ❤

So glad to hear the first responders buoyed you up again.

When my daughter was five, I went back to work. And I felt guilty.

The day of my first pay, I heard my little cherub describing her new ‘pay day doll.’

Mom asked, “but it’s not your birthday or Christmas…why did you get a doll?”

“Oh,” my cherub replied, “It’s just ‘cuz of Mom’s back to work guilt.”

@Mamapolo2016 they really know so much more than we give them credit for 🤣
@Needchange1111 They so do. My daughter’s 40. Someday soon, she’s going to turn to me and say, “Mom, remember on March 3, 1985, when you told me THIS? You LIED.”
