I'm an optimistic nihilist. Meaning that I believe and accept that there is no point to life. However, that means I am free to pick my own point to life. So I say enjoy the experience and strive to leave the world a little better off than when you entered it. That's mine, at least.

We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here.We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?

@newjaninev2 that is a very unique way to look at things. Yes I get to write a single page. However my story and my chapters, my book personally are always changing and growing with me the ending hasn't come yet.
I hope my page is one filled with postitivity, maybe motivational but abice anything else. I want it to show I lived and i got to enku the life I have. The ups the downs the mountains I have had to climb. It will all show in the mind of person I am actively choosing to grow into.

We all change. From before birth until after death. That is the point.
The contradiction lays in your own duality of life and death.
Stop making the extremes as the points of purpose.
Life is change.

@DeWayfarer I whole heartedly agree. I however have just been pondering the question and decided to here other peoples thoughts kn the matter. To live is to grow and to grow is to change

Because what choice do we have?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
It's what we do while alive that counts.
If you question the point of living as you do, you suggest you think life is pointless.

Make one up. You got a life. Figure out something fun to do with it.

Maybe there is no point. Surely that's a possibility
