I Think Infinity is Out There!

I can't prove it of course, but it makes a lot of sense. Most people start with a 1 and keep adding zeros. I prefer to start with a 9 and add nines, it ends up the same. Which ever you choose, they just keep going...

In what sense are we discussing "infinity" here? And why do you think it's "out there" somewhere?

The universe is believed to be infinite, yet bounded. Topologically speaking. The truth is we don't really know, because we really do not know as much as many people believe we do. Reality is still largely a big mystery. We don't know how it began (if it in fact did begin), we don't know why there is something rather than nothing, and we can't possibly hope to answer some questions with the tools we have at our disposal.
