Does anyone know a good place where I can learn more Eastern philosophies?

Living in the Western world, I feel like I've had such little opportunity to learn about the deep wellspring of wisdom present in at least historical India, China, & Japan. I have often tried to understand things from a Western standpoint, largely analyzing things, breaking them down, moving forward at incremental speed towards understanding, sometimes rejecting or being biased towards more spiritualistic thinking or quite different epistemologies than those present in the West.

I want to learn however I can, but I especially would love to learn from people who are wise & good teachers today who have an online presence!

If you are interested at all in engaging in this adventure with me as well, feel free to contact me.

@Tastyfrzz Wasn't this guy an alcoholic? I don't understand why westerners gravitate to supposedly spiritual people even though they are regarded as human failures by eastern spiritual standards.

@sree251 Alcoholics are people too. He died back in the seventies. His recordings are quite interesting. I combine many sources such as Tolle, Borg, ... In the end I find that I can not really say I'm 100% any particular religion so I made up my own. So far it seems to be pretty accurate. I'll modify it as the need arises.

@Tastyfrzz Can you share what you made up?

We; and everything around us, are all just ripples in a sea of energy surrounded by a field that is interested in life but does not interfere with it
