Long term good (as long as ethical behaivior is followed, [i]but it won't[/i]).
Some fool will make a genetically superior lung, kidney, heart that will give someone an advantage, (long life), and every other fool will follow.... soon annoucing 150 yr hearts, lungs that breathe 300% better, and on and on............. !!!!

It's just a natural part of progression. It would be a good idea as long as it's use for the right application. Perhaps someone in need of a liver transplant can grow a liver from their own cells. That way their body would not reject it. Now I hear they are conducting experiments with stasis.
