Actually I was feeling geeky and worked out the area... The 18 inch was 254, the two 12 inches were only 226 ... Surprise!

You get just a tiny bit more if you get the 18" pizza.
Area = (radius x radius x 22) / 7
Two 12" pizzas = about 226 sq inches
One 18" pizza = about 254 sq inches

Mathematically it's the 18 inch one. For actual value, it may depend on your storage facilities.
