Anyone here ever install Navit? On linux?

I can't seem to get new maps in the damm thing, it's making me nuts.

I installed it on Ubuntu 20, but it loads a blank screen with no maps. Have not had time to investigate. I was thinking about putting it on a Raspberry Pi, but it looks like they may not be ready for prime time.
