@ButterRobot OK, so "disease" may not be the right word but it's certainly a problem in need of a cure when things keep falling on the floor.
@Crazychick But how do they fo this? Because you insist on having tables, counters, shelves, etc. If you have no surfaces other than the floor, then you'll have no more falling of items from higher surfaces to the floor.

Then you just have to worry about yourself & other people falling to the floor.
