Why aren't manual transmissions more popular?

I would love it if my 4-cyl. Toyota Camry had one, lol.

CVTs suck! Especially in Nissan.
I prefer a stick too. All my automatic cars have died because of the transmission and never the engine. Could have gotten a lot more miles out of them.
