What year did you first get internet?

I think I remember my parents getting America Online shortly before I started kindergarten, which for me would have been 1993. How technology and the internet have changed since then...

The internet as we know it wasn't really available before 1993. There were BBS and limited email servers, but no true internet like we have today. We got it in 1993 as well, along with a 14.4 modem upgrade for the old 486, lol

@UckfayOuyayOotay Interesting fact. I guess AOL was the first true online service provider then, as it was released in 1991 apparently.
