If you were so resilient you wouldn’t need to put other people down. I’m not that old. I am depressed but I have a reason to be and that doesn’t mean what I say isn’t valid or that I should stop talking altogether. That was rude of you to say to me. I don’t think being optimistic or an optimistic automatically means depression is out of the equation. That’s what I was said. It was in direct response to your post. I don’t know why you took that so personally.
My husband is a total pessimist but he’s not the get depressed type of person. Sometimes I think people who aren’t optimistic are a little bit more realistic than people are constantly optimistic because not everything is always going to be fine. Life is not like that so we need to get ready for disappointment.
