The move from muscular automation to mental automation is under way. Will robots replace people faster than new jobs for humans can be created?

People just need to move towards an education in robotics and computer technology. Until they become self aware, and capable of self maintenance, they will be dependent upon sentient biological life.

@Feuerwehrmann I personally think we will shy away from them because of the ramifications. The puppet masters are not stupid. There may be some automation, but people will still be behind the sliding glass window for a while yet.

@puck61 I think the problem comes to scale. Far fewer people will be needed to maintain and design these machines.
@puck61 Landscaping and building is where the money is right now. If you can do Koy ponds and waterfalls, etc etc, you can make a killing! If you can staple composite at the speed of light, you can make a killing. I personally think the intricate landscaping is the way to go because it appeals to the ego, and people love to express! It will be a long time before robots can do that!

@ViciDraco I see a loophole! We can hold it off with the FDA for a while. Just pose the question and the whole system will have to come to a halt.
