No that's just what happens when pharmaceutical industries and research is subjected to the free market under capitalism and therefore sibjected to human greed and profit interests.

It does not invalidate vaccines as a whole or backs up any conspiracy theory.

@Gloomy Capitalism again? It would be interesting to know your position, in tefms that a non-economically- minded person could understand
Gloomy · F
@WalterF Scientists are and were under lots of stress and pressure to develop a vaccine against a virus that spreads very fast. That is understandable but what isn't is that private corporations want to speed up the process as fast as possible exploiting a pandemic and playing with peoples health in order to make profit.

Medical research and distribution should not be in the hands of private companies that are subjected to market mechanisms. Profits should never come before human well being therefore I believe the pharma industry should be in public ownership and research should be sponsored by the state and not by individuals with profit interests.

@Gloomy Now that's clear. We are in agreement.

@Gloomy A hurry to find a vaccine for a virus with a 99.99% survival rate? Got it.
Gloomy · F
@MrBrownstone At the time we didn't know how the survival rate would turn out science had to keep analyising it while it was already spreading and mutating.
Also immune defense of people around the world is not the same.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Gloomy Over months you could not see?
Gloomy · F
@MrBrownstone The Alpha variant had a higher mortality for example. You lack understanding on how viruses work and on the dynamics of pandemics.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Gloomy So still less than 1% of the population. Got it.
Gloomy · F
@MrBrownstone negating long covid symptoms and the simple fact that we now have to live with a new disease that fortunately is less deadly than it could have been.
Are you one of those anti intellectual "vaccine bad" people?
