Which one will freeze faster? The hot water (left) or cold water (right)? My son read about this, and he wanted to test it. Since it's 28 degrees Fahrenheit outside, I thought we should try it.

Logically it would be the cold one as that's already closer, but I believe I've read somewhere it's actually the hot one. I don't remember the explanation anymore though.
If I'm right, I wonder if it works the other way around too: does water from the fridge boil faster than water from the tap?
