The Illusory Truth Effect

The illusory truth effect, also known as the illusion of truth, describes how, when we hear the same false information repeated again and again, we often come to believe it is true. Troublingly, this even happens when people should know better—that is, when people initially know that the misinformation is false.

The most interesting part is watching how many fight and hold tenaciously to the false information even as it is being dismantled and discredited right in front of their eyes …

But no! Governments around the world said it, public health officials around the world said it, media outlets said it over and over again …. So it has to be true

To debate anything … one must become an expert at both sides of an argument. Until you’ve thoroughly researched your opposition, you don’t factually know anything. You’re just a mouthpiece repeating and plagiarizing what you’ve been given or told … also known as sheep! Sheep led so easily to the slaughter.
