You failed biology & science eh?
Carla · 61-69, F
@Ynotisay maybe dead skin cells really do go to heaven.
???😏
Ynotisay · M
@Carla (Good one) 👍
Alabamianqueen · 31-35, F
Alabamians don't have dander

They do... its called "dandruff" and you can buy shampoos from most supermarkets and chemists to treat it...
Carla · 61-69, F
Skin cells slough off humans too. It just doesnt get caught up in fur so you dont see it as clearly.
If you dont have critters that sleep on your mattress and have a powerful vacuum, run it over that mattress. The sloughed skin will be evident and rather gross.

They shed enough skin flakes that dust mites can have a field day in the bed linens if they aren’t washed often enough.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
We do. Anything with fur, hair or feathers does. 😊

Open your HVAC air return vent filter and you'll see dust covering the filter, dust is mostly made of dead skin cells, human hair and dander and dandruff.
And that includes other animals too.
We don't have fur but we have dandruff.
I dander all over the place..
I looked it up. Snakes and other reptiles have no dander. Does this prove, according to your logic, that humans are snakes???
Tennessean · 31-35, F
Humans are animals.

While the genetic difference between individual humans today is minuscule – about 0.1%, on average – study of the same aspects of the chimpanzee genome indicates a difference of about 1.2%. The bonobo (Pan paniscus), which is the close cousin of chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes), differs from humans to the same degree. The DNA difference with gorillas, another of the African apes, is about 1.6%. Most importantly, chimpanzees, bonobos, and humans all show this same amount of difference from gorillas. A difference of 3.1% distinguishes us and the African apes from the Asian great ape, the orangutan. How do the monkeys stack up? All of the great apes and humans differ from rhesus monkeys, for example, by about 7% in their DNA.

@Victorian If that is true then please explain the difference between 'dandruff' and 'dander.'

What about the other hairless mammals? Do elephants, hippos, or pigs shed dander? If not, are they not animals??
Carla · 61-69, F
@Victorian if you havent animals, the dust you wipe off your coffee table is in no small part, your skin cells. If you do have animals, then more skin cells.
Where do you think your dead skin goes? Heaven?
Tennessean · 31-35, F
@Victorian yes they do, dogs and cats can be allergic to human dander

At least Alabamians don't shed dander
Alabamianqueen · 31-35, F
Why don't Alabamians shed dander?
Humans know they don't have any suckers who will clean up after them
Victorian · 56-60, F
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP except dust mites
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Oh, we do.

LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
We don't? Then what the hell is Head and Shoulders for?
