I Received Corporal Punishment At School

I did receive very mild corporal punishment at school, but I also spent my entire career as a teacher and later headmaster in schools where corporal punishment was used. Many years of experience leads me to the conclusion that corporal punishment is a very effective tool in a teacherMs armoury and helps improve educational standards.

Marylin. I don't believe that properly administered corporal punishment constitutes aggressive behaviour. But I suspect we will never agree and I don't wish at the moment to enter into a debate about the pros and cons of corporal punishment.
