I Witnessed Corporal Punishment At School
It was abolished a few years after I left and I thought it would lead to worse standards of behavior. I feel I was right. At least the good kids could get on with lessons and bullies feared authority then.

in my generation parents were given a choice of opting out of corporal punishment or not. I was called into the principal's office in 12th grade asking if my parents would ever sign the opt out of corporal punishment. I said to him if they do you better watch out for lightning or something eles that might signal the end of the world lol
