I Witnessed Corporal Punishment At School
It was abolished a few years after I left and I thought it would lead to worse standards of behavior. I feel I was right. At least the good kids could get on with lessons and bullies feared authority then.

When I was growing up, some adults had biases, just like they do now. There were always kids who got away with all kinds of crap, while others were punished. All that hitting someone teaches is that hitting a person can control their behavior. Bullies already know that.
