I Witnessed Corporal Punishment At School

Back in the late 1960s I taught for a term at a boys' prep school before going up to university. One morning, the matron came into the staff room and announced "P****** was caned last night". What I remember particularly was the slight lascivious smirk on her face as she said it. I assume the boy was actually caned by the headmaster, but I'm sure the matron wished she could have administered the caning herself.

Iwent to a prep school from 8 to 13 and was frequently slippered by my matron especially for talking after lights out. Surprised the matron mixed with the teachers

@SW-User The matron and her assistant used the staff room just like the teachers. The matron never mentioned using the slipper herself, at least not in my hearing. Happy to talk more if you would like to.
