School uniform

Back in the 60s and 70s i remember there was strict rules on school uniforms. In my class the teacher made the girls stand in a line and she used a 3 foot ruler to measure from the floor to the bottom of the skirt. all clothing was correct and clean. Boys was next. Shirts tucked in tie straight shoes polished. If you was not up to standard you had a note to take home saying what was wrong
